Questions
- Does it cost anything?
- No. Outmake is free, there is no account, and local models cost nothing to run however much you use them. If you connect ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini, you pay them what you pay today.
- Which Macs does it run on?
- Any Mac with Apple silicon (M1 or later) running macOS 26 or later. Intel Macs are not supported. Models are sorted by what your particular Mac can run, so a 16 GB MacBook Air sees a different list from a Mac Studio.
- Where does my work go?
- Your chats, files, pictures and memory stay in one folder on your disk that only your macOS account can read. When you pick a cloud model, that message goes straight from your Mac to the company you chose, on your own account or key, and Outmake asks before the first one.
- How fast is it?
- It depends on your Mac and the model. Every model shows how well it runs on your Mac, with its speed in words a second, before you download it. Chat is quick on most Macs. A video takes minutes.
- Does it need the internet?
- Only to download models, and for cloud models you connect. Local models run with no connection.
- Do I have to use the terminal?
- No. Outmake installs what it needs inside its own folder. There is no Python to set up, no package manager, and no admin password.
