Outmake Download

Terms of Use

Effective October 10, 2026

Thank you for using Outmake. We built it to make powerful AI simple to run on your own Mac, and we’re glad you’re here. These terms are the agreement between you and Ambedo Labs LLC, a company in Utah, United States (“we”, “us”), about the Outmake app and outmake.app. We’ve written them to be read. Please do read them, especially the parts in capitals near the end, which limit what we’re responsible for.

By downloading or using Outmake, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it.

1. Who can use Outmake

You need to be 18 or older, and able to make this agreement where you live. If you use Outmake for a company or another organisation, you’re agreeing for it, and you confirm you’re allowed to.

2. Your licence to use Outmake

Outmake is free. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Outmake on Macs you own or control, for personal or work purposes, for as long as these terms apply.

Outmake belongs to Ambedo Labs LLC. You may not:

Outmake includes open-source software, each part under its own licence. Those licences come first for those parts, and nothing here takes away a right they give you. They’re listed in Settings › About and at outmake.app/credits.

3. Updates

Outmake checks for updates and can install them for you. You can turn automatic updates off in Settings. Updates may add, change or remove features. If we ever start charging for Outmake, the version you have keeps working for everything that runs on your Mac.

4. Your work

What you make with Outmake is yours: your prompts, chats, pictures, videos, code and recordings. We claim no rights in it, and we don’t receive it.

Some things to know about AI-made work:

5. What you can’t make with Outmake

You’re responsible for what you create with Outmake and what you do with it. You may not use Outmake to create, request or share:

  1. sexual or sexualised content involving anyone under 18, or anyone who appears to be under 18, including drawn, animated or AI-made content;
  2. sexual, nude or intimate images, video or audio of a real, identifiable person without their consent;
  3. content that impersonates a real person or organisation to deceive, defraud or harass anyone;
  4. deceptive media about candidates, election officials or voting;
  5. content that infringes someone else’s copyright, trademark, privacy or publicity rights;
  6. anything that breaks the law where you are, the licence of the model you’re using, or the terms of the AI company you’re using.

Outmake helps you keep these rules. It checks every picture prompt before any maker sees it, and turns down prompts for sexual content involving anyone under 18, sexual changes to existing pictures, and sexual content while Mature Content is off. These checks read words, so they can miss things, and they don’t move responsibility for what you make to us.

Mature Content is off until you turn it on in Settings. Turn it on only if you’re 18 or older and mature content is legal where you are. It unlocks models rated for adults. It doesn’t change the rules above.

Breaking these rules ends your licence (section 15). We may also report content involving the abuse of children to the authorities where the law requires or allows it.

6. AI makes mistakes

AI models can be wrong, out of date, biased or offensive, and can state wrong things confidently. What Outmake and its models say isn’t professional advice, whether medical, legal, financial or otherwise. Check anything important with a qualified person before you rely on it.

7. Agents act for you

Outmake’s agents can run commands, read, change and delete files, browse websites, fill in forms, send messages and buy things, using your Mac and your accounts. When an agent acts, it acts on your instructions and on your behalf, and you’re responsible for what it does, as if you’d done it yourself.

How much an agent may do is up to you. Each chat has an access level. At Ask for Approval, an agent asks before it edits files, runs commands or uses the internet. At Approve for Me, it asks only about actions that look risky. At Full Access, it acts without asking and outside the sandbox. When you approve an action, you’re confirming you want it done, so please read what you approve.

Six kinds of action are set to stop and ask, such as sending messages, spending money, deleting things for good and publishing. This list catches the patterns we know about. It can miss an action that’s worded differently, and some agents don’t follow it under Full Access. The Help page “Access and Safety” explains exactly what each agent does.

Voice control works in your other apps directly. When you ask Outmake by voice to do something in another app, it acts in that app. Before it presses a button that sends, buys, deletes for good or publishes, it asks you first. It knows these by the button’s name, so it can miss one that is named differently. It’s built to stay out of password fields and password managers, and refuses to type anything shaped like a password or key.

Agents can be misled. A web page, an email or a file an agent reads can contain hidden instructions that try to steer it. Outmake marks what an agent reads as information for it to weigh, and below Full Access the sandbox limits what a misled agent can reach in Claude, OpenCode and ChatGPT chats (Gemini chats aren’t sandboxed yet). No protection is complete. Keep backups of anything you can’t afford to lose, and use Full Access only for work you’d be comfortable with an agent doing unsupervised.

Other services’ rules. Websites and services an agent uses for you have their own terms, and some don’t allow automated use. Following them is up to you.

8. AI companies you connect

Outmake can connect to Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, OpenRouter, TypeSafe, Pollinations, OpenCode and other services, using your own account or key. Outmake asks you before it sends anything to each one.

9. Models, voices and other downloads

Outmake helps you find and download AI models, voices and engines made by others, from places like Hugging Face, Civitai and GitHub. We don’t make or supply them. Each comes from its publisher, under the publisher’s licence, which is between you and them.

Outmake shows a short summary of each licence, such as whether commercial use is allowed. A summary can’t capture every condition. Read the full licence before you rely on it, especially for commercial work. Some licences forbid certain uses or require you to credit the maker. Following them is up to you.

10. Labels on AI-made content

Outmake writes a label into each picture and video it makes, saying it was made by AI and by which model. Please keep these labels, and don’t present AI work as something it isn’t. If you publish realistic AI-made images, video or audio of real people or events, the law where you publish may require you to say it was made with AI.

11. Privacy

Outmake keeps your work on your Mac. The Privacy Policy at outmake.app/privacy explains what leaves your Mac, when, and why, and the analytics cookies outmake.app uses.

12. Feedback

If you send us ideas or suggestions, thank you. We may use them to improve Outmake without owing you anything for them.

13. Outmake is free

Outmake is free today. If we charge for Outmake or new features in future, we’ll say so clearly before anyone is asked to pay, and these terms will say how buying, refunds and updates work.

14. Export and sanctions

Outmake is subject to U.S. export control and sanctions laws. You may not download, use or transfer Outmake in or to Cuba, Iran, North Korea, the Crimea region of Ukraine, the so-called Donetsk or Luhansk People’s Republics, or any other place under comprehensive U.S. sanctions, or to anyone on a U.S. government restricted-party list. By using Outmake you confirm none of these apply to you.

15. Ending this agreement

You can stop using Outmake whenever you like, by deleting it. Your licence ends automatically if you break section 5, and we may end it if you seriously break another part of these terms. When it ends, please stop using Outmake and delete it. Sections 4 to 6, 9, 12, 14 and 16 to 23 continue after it ends.

16. No warranty

OUTMAKE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITH ALL FAULTS AND WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DON’T PROMISE THAT OUTMAKE, ITS AGENTS OR THE MODELS IT RUNS WILL BE ACCURATE, ERROR-FREE, SECURE OR UNINTERRUPTED, OR THAT THEY’LL WORK WITH EVERY MAC, MODEL OR SERVICE.

17. Limits on our liability

TO THE EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, AMBEDO LABS LLC IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST DATA, PROFITS OR BUSINESS, ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO OUTMAKE, INCLUDING ACTIONS AN AGENT TOOK THAT YOU APPROVED OR ALLOWED, AND WHAT AI COMPANIES, MODEL PUBLISHERS OR OTHER SERVICES DID, EVEN IF WE WERE TOLD SUCH DAMAGES WERE POSSIBLE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO OUTMAKE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR OUTMAKE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, AND US$50.

THESE LIMITS DON’T APPLY TO DEATH OR PERSONAL INJURY CAUSED BY OUR NEGLIGENCE, TO OUR FRAUD, GROSS NEGLIGENCE OR WILFUL MISCONDUCT, OR TO ANY LIABILITY THE LAW DOESN’T ALLOW US TO LIMIT. THEY APPLY EVEN IF A LIMITED REMEDY FAILS OF ITS ESSENTIAL PURPOSE.

18. Claims from others

If someone else makes a legal claim against us because of content you made or published with Outmake, or because you broke section 5 or someone else’s rights, you’ll cover our reasonable costs of that claim, including reasonable legal fees. We’ll tell you about the claim promptly and let you take part in defending it. This doesn’t apply to claims caused by our own fault, or where the law where you live doesn’t allow it.

19. Where you live

Some places give consumers rights that a contract can’t take away, and these terms don’t try to.

20. Law and courts

Utah law governs these terms, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any lawsuit about Outmake must be brought in the state or federal courts in Salt Lake County, Utah, and you and we agree to their jurisdiction. Either of us may instead bring an individual claim in a small-claims court that has jurisdiction. If you’re a consumer whose local law gives you the right to sue at home, you keep that right.

Before going to court, please write to us. Most problems can be solved with a conversation, and we’d like the chance.

21. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we’ll tell you in the app and in the release notes, and update the date at the top. Changes don’t apply to anything that happened before them.

22. The rest

These terms are the whole agreement between you and us about Outmake. The Privacy Policy explains how we handle information. If a court finds part of them unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we don’t enforce a part straight away, we haven’t given it up. You may not transfer this agreement; we may transfer it to whoever takes over Outmake, and the terms stay the same for you. Nothing in these terms gives rights to anyone else.

23. Names and trademarks

Outmake is a trademark of Ambedo Labs LLC. Apple, Mac and macOS are trademarks of Apple Inc., registered in the U.S. and other countries. Other names belong to their owners. Outmake isn’t affiliated with or endorsed by Apple, Anthropic, OpenAI, Google or any other company it works with.
