Memory

What Outmake remembers, and how to make it forget.

Memory (View › Memory, ⇧⌘M) is what Outmake remembers about you between chats, kept only on this Mac.

What memory is

Tell any agent something worth keeping, such as "I prefer short answers", and it lands in the Memories tab. The page has three more tabs: About you, identity notes you write yourself; Your setup, the permissions Outmake has asked macOS for and the memory or skills you've connected from elsewhere; and Skills, written procedures an agent can follow.

A memory only reaches an agent you've allowed to use it. Settings › Accounts has a Uses your memory switch next to each one, so connecting Claude to your memory doesn't also hand it to ChatGPT or Gemini.

Forget

Open a memory and choose Forget to take it out of memory. Forgetting doesn't erase it outright: it moves the memory aside so it can still be recovered, the way moving a file to the Trash does.
