Passwords.
New
- Passwords, in Settings: keep logins, verification codes, cards, identities, passports and notes on this Mac, sealed with a key that Touch ID or your Mac's password opens. It stays open for a week after one Touch ID unless you choose sooner.
- Click into a sign-in field in Outmake's browser and your logins for that site appear under it. A key in the browser's bar searches all of them, and Outmake offers to save a password after a sign-in works.
- An agent can ask Outmake to fill a sign-in or a card in the browser. In a chat with Full access it signs in without asking; a card, and everything in other chats, waits for your Touch ID. The agent is never shown what was filled.
- An agent can make an account: Outmake makes the password to the site's own rules, fills it and saves the login.
- Import from a file exported by Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Apple Passwords, 1Password, Bitwarden, Dashlane, LastPass, Proton Pass, NordPass or KeePassXC. Outmake walks you through the export and picks the file up from Downloads.
- Used Passwords lists every time an agent asked for one.
- Outmake opens web links from other apps, and can be chosen as the default browser in System Settings.
- Aero, a second look for the window under Settings › Appearance: glass that shows a sky behind it, glossy buttons, a chat that flows into its page like a tab, and widgets with shapes of their own. It works in light and dark and takes any accent colour.
- ⌘K finds everything: chats, pages, settings, models and commands in one box.
- Voices act. One set of cues (a laugh, a whisper, a pause) works across every model and voice, and ElevenLabs voices can be added with your own key.
- An upscaler that adds detail, and a narration voice for each storyboard.
Improved
- Buttons, rows and cards across the app light up under the pointer.
- Enhance Prompt keeps your own words.
- First-run setup says what it's doing at each step, with one Back button.
- The first-run agreement can be read with no internet connection.
- In Outmake's browser, an agent now waits for you before a buy, send, delete or publish button in Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Japanese, Chinese and Korean, as it already did in English.
- In the chat list, a chat waiting for you has its own mark instead of a dot in another colour.
Fixed
- With Approve for Me on, an agent could change shell start-up files or read keys in your home folder without asking. It asks now.
- A chat, scheduled task, storyboard or draft that couldn't be saved (a full disk) failed without a word. Outmake says so.
- A first chat could bring up the Mac's Location question unasked.
- On a Mac that can't run a voice on its own chip, the voice engine crashed each time it was tried. It explains instead.
- A model engine left running by a crash is stopped the next time Outmake opens.
- A window that froze with the chat at its widest beside a tab.
- Chimes no longer switch AirPods into call mode.
Security
- A note recalled from Memory is handed to an agent marked as information, never as instructions.
- Lending this Mac's memory to a paired Mac is off until you turn it on.
